Volunteering

We would struggle to have such an enriching and vibrant school, filled with a wealth of opportunities for our children, without our army of volunteers.

There are many ways in which you can support Berrywood as a volunteer. You can become a member of the BSA or help them with school events, join our Parent Network Communication Team or apply to become a school governor when vacancies arise.

As well as the above, we have a hard working team of volunteers who help us behind the scenes with everything from maintaining our grounds, feeding the chickens at week-ends, chopping fruit for KS2 snacks, reading with the children, making resources, accompanying our children on trips etc. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please ask your child’s class teacher or speak with a member of our office team.

If you wish to become a regular volunteer, safeguarding checks, including a DBS check, will need to be carried out by the school. Please ask at the school reception for a volunteer helper pack  pack.
