Drama

Pupils are enabled to participate in and gain knowledge, skills and understanding associated with the artistic practice of drama.

At Berrywood, the children have opportunities to improvise, role play and respond to differing stimuli, using drama as a means of expressing their imagination, knowledge and understanding of the wider world.  Through project, the children share their ideas, in a fully inclusive environment, where they can be free to perform and participate in a wide range of activities.

Our drama curriculum is designed to:

  • Develop a command over their vocal and physical skills to allow them to approach a wide range of public speaking with confidence.
  • Encourage the children to have empathy and sensitivity to the viewpoints and emotions of others.
  • To promote teamwork and cooperation by working towards a common goal.
  • Create an understanding of the benefits of participation in the arts, performance and creativity.

  • What to look out for at Berrywood. View
