At Berrywood, the children have opportunities to improvise, role play and respond to differing stimuli, using drama as a means of expressing their imagination, knowledge and understanding of the wider world. Through project, the children share their ideas, in a fully inclusive environment, where they can be free to perform and participate in a wide range of activities.
Our drama curriculum is designed to:
- Develop a command over their vocal and physical skills to allow them to approach a wide range of public speaking with confidence.
- Encourage the children to have empathy and sensitivity to the viewpoints and emotions of others.
- To promote teamwork and cooperation by working towards a common goal.
- Create an understanding of the benefits of participation in the arts, performance and creativity.
